Words of Life

"Gentle words are a tree of life. A deceitful tongue crushes the spirit." - Proverbs 15:4

Our words have incredible power - they can either build up or tear down, heal or hurt. In our digital age, it's easy to forget the impact our words can have, whether spoken face-to-face or typed online. God calls us to use our words as instruments of kindness, speaking life and encouragement into others' lives. When we choose gentle, helpful words, we're not just being polite; we're reflecting God's character and bringing His light into our conversations. Consider how your words might be trees of life to those around you today. How might your communication change if you consciously viewed your words as potential 'trees of life' for others?

Additional Question: If you wouldn't say it to somebody's face, then why do you say it online?

Father, guard my tongue and guide my words today. Help me to speak with kindness and grace, bringing life and encouragement to those around me. Let my words reflect Your heart and bring healing rather than hurt. Amen.
